EPIDEMIOLOGICAL AND MICROBIOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF IERSINEOSIS
Polishchuk O.O.
In the assay there are new results of research in the antigen  genetic  structure  and biological  properties  of  iersineosis  and  pseudotuberculesis  agents  presented  as  well as characteristics  of  modern  methodology  in  laboratory diagnostic and sensitivity of iersinies towards antimicrobial drugs. There are also innovative view on epidemiological  aspects  of  circulation  and  ability  of  selfpreservation of these microorganisms in the environment described. In  the  parallel  there  is  a  research  data  presented  along with  statistical  assay  as  for  prevalence  of  iersinia  in Ukraine  as  well  as  worldwide.  According  to  sanitaryepidemiological service statistical data results inUkraine and official literature sources we can make a conclusion about  deficiencies  in  principals  of  iersiniosis  infection revelation in our country. This demands an improvement in bacteriological methods of investigation and research of modern technologies in diagnostics of iersiniosis.

RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS AND EPSTEIN-BARR VIRUS
Grishyna O.I.
Recent publications on the potential relationship between Epstein-Barr  virus  (EBV)  and  rheumatoid  arthritis  were analyzed.  The  results  suggest  that  the infection/reactivation  of  the  virus  as  a  consequence  of defects in cellular immunity or drug treatment. Evidence points  to  EVB  that  could  act  as  a  trigger  in  genetically susceptible hosts.

GENERAL CHARACTERISTIC OF THE METHODS FOR DETECTION OF DIPHTHERIA TOXIN
Babych E.M., Ryzhkova T.A., Kalinichenko S.V., Sklyar N.I.
The  detection  of  toxigenicity  among  Corynebacterium diphtheriae  strains  is  the  most  important  test  for  the microbiological  diagnosis  of  diphtheria.  Therefore, we describe  the  moderately  sensitive  phenotypic  (in  vitro) assays  for  exotoxin  detection  (Elek  test,  flocculation test)  and  more  sensitive  ones  (agglutination  assays, enzyme  immunoassay,  immunochromatographic  strip test,  immunoblotting,  tissue  culture  tests),  as  well  as genotypic  methods,  based  upon  polymerase  chain reaction  and  bioassays  (in  vivo),  which  have  always been  regarded  as  the  “gold  standard”  tests  for toxigenicity detection.

THE ROLE OF HERPESVIRUSES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF CORONARY HEART DISEASE COMPLICATIONS
Peremot S.D., Smelyanskaya M.V., Martynov A.V., Peremot J.A.
The research results of CMV and HSV influence on CHD course  and  acute  myocardial infarction  in  particular,  of complication developments and outcomes are given inthis article. It is defined that 48, 5 % of patients with AMI, 22,7 % of patients with unstable angina and 12,8 % of patients with  stable  angina  have  CMV  and  HSV  association.  The increase of general cholesterol level, of atherogenity index and the decrease of HDL level are detected in herpesvirus infected  patients with AMI in comparison with uninfected patients.  Heart  rhythm  disturbances,  thromboembolisms and  recurrent  infarction  development  are  observed  1,5-2 times as often.

Aim of research: to examine the interferon α (INF-α) and interferon  γ  (INF-γ)  contents  in  synovial  fluid  (SF)  in patients  with  rheumatoid  arthritis  (RA)  depending  on Epstein-Barr  virus  (EBV)  infection  signs.  It  was  found that  RA  patients  with  EBV  infection  signs  have  had higher  disease  activity  and  significantly  higher  contents of  INF-α in  SF  while  INF-γ  levels  did  not  differ comparing  to  RA  patients  without  EBV  infection  signs. Positive correlation was shown between INF-α contents, ESR level and swollen joint count as well.

Volyanskiy A.Yu., Qikitchenko Yu.V., Kuchma I.Yu., Simirenko L.L.
The effect of non-balanced on animal proteins and antioxidant vitamins nutrition on the activity of the prooxidant-antioxidant blood system in the process of immunization anatoxins of ADT-vaccine on 3-month old Wistar line  rats  was  studied.  The  content  of  lipid  hydroperoxides was increased and reliability of the enzymes of the antioxidant system was reduced. Both of these processes had  resulted  in  the  slowing  of  changes  of  glutathione peroxidase  activity. The  activity  of  glutathione  peroxidase of the blood serum of the treated rats increased on the 7 th - 21 st days of the experiment in the process of the forming  of humoral  immune  response  to  diphteria  and tetanus anatoxins of ADT-vaccine.

X-RAY ANALYSIS OF INTERMEDIATES OF SUCCINIC ANHYDRATE INTERACTION WITH β-CYCLODEXTRIN IN  WATER
Martynov A.V., Baumer V.N., Lisnyak Yu.V.
The peculiarities of interaction of succinic anhydrate with β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) in water are discussed in thepaper. Crystal intermediates isolated at different stages of the reaction have been studied by X-ray analysis. X-ray analysis of the samples of single crystals and crystal powders reveals both β-CD inclusion complex with succinic acid and free succinic acid in reaction media, and thus confirms that hydrolysis of succinic anhydratebeing included in β-CD is one of the reaction path.
Key words: succinic anhydrate, β-cyclodextrin, X-ray analysis.

The  influence  of  low-dose  γ-irradiation  on  the  antiinfectious resistance factors in animals was studied. The present work displays some data concerning the influence of  immunomodulator  agent  Galavit  on  such  parameters, as  cytokines  levels  (IL-4,  TNF-α  and  IFN-γ  concentrations),  in  antenatal  or  postnatal  irradiation  of  different intensity. It was shown that Galavit influence the  course of infectious process, caused by Salmonella typhimurium and developing against a background of antenatal irradiation in the dose of 1 Gy positively. In particular, galavit stimulates the non-specific defence factors and cytokines.
